Summer School in Econometrics & Data Science

About the Summer School:
It is a rigorous and extensive program where you can learn key data science essentials, through real-world case studies and master the skills needed to solve complex challenges with data. The certification program in Summer School in Econometrics & Data Science is structured in such a way to equip you with practical and interlocking competencies that maximise the best use of data and interpret the insights from the generated data. At the end of the program, you are expected to come up with your own high impact research paper and also understand the industry practices to enhance your employability.
The Summer School is the flagship program conducted every year for students and professionals making it an experience of great co-learning involving a capstone project. This year the course is to be conducted online using Microsoft Teams. The training to join-in teams shall be delivered separately for all the registered participants on 21st June 2020. They shall also be given access to large data sets, e-books and other resources prior to the course. The seats are limited and interested participants. The admissions shall be granted on a first-cum-first serve basis. For all other details refer to the brochure.

About Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune:
Established in 1930 by the Servants of India Society, it is the oldest research and training institute in Economics in the country. The institute is dedicated to research into the socio-economic dimensions of the Indian society and carries forward the legacy of Gopal Krishna Gokhale who founded the Servants of India Society in 1905 with a view to promote education and develop capabilities among Indians for the governance of the nation after it had attained its political independence. Centre for Advanced Studies in Policy Research (CASPR) is non-partisan organization It works as a critical think tank and involves itself in promoting the interdisciplinary research; predominantly in the areas viz. economic & social policy, development studies, governance, law, state, history, anthropology, media studies, political science, international relations and environmental studies etc.​ CASPR is engaged in field projects, education and works as a catalyst to connect the research and allied activities to the policy-making process.
